Issues with a podcast

I am a big fan of the worldsoccerdaily podcast and must listen to it everyday. (www.worldsoccerdaily.com)

However, I am having a very hard time getting the podcast to play on ubuntu 6.06 LTS. I have tried

1. installing mplayer plugin for mozilla. Mplayer shows its connecting but never seems to make a connection and just keep showing the "connecting" message at the bottom

2. Banshee. Doesnt want anything to do with the .asx format

3. I can't seem to find the realplayer version of the podcast so that isn't an option right now.

If you have time can someone go to the website and see if they can get it to work and let me know?

Try opening any of your media apps (RealPlayer, Xine, etc.) and open the following URL:

http://www.live365.com/play/soccerweekly3

It's a live MP3 stream. Have you installed any MP3 decoders? In other words, are you able to play MP3s with any of your media players?

You might also try adding .mp3 to the end of the URL (both ways worked for me):

http://www.live365.com/play/soccerweekly3.mp3

i installed all the gstreamer codecs from the synaptic package manager.

totem seems to connect but the operator keeps saying this channel is unavailable at this time. However, when I switch over to windows and open the podcast I can listen to the actual station.

Maybe its something wrong on there end?

Anyway thanks for the help
