How do distro sub-forums come about?
From LQ's very beginnings it has been a policy that we will only create a sub-forum for a particular distro if that distro maker will participate in it. Beyond that, any additional support is optional.
So someone from Samurai would have to participate somehow in any LQ sub-forum that would be created.

Samurai is not a general purpose distro, it is primarily focussed on web app vulnerability testing, so has man-in-the-middle tools, script injection tools and so on.
It occupies the same realm as Backtrack and Netbuntu in terms of functionality.
Nothing wrong with it, it's great for what's designed for, I just wouldn't use it as my primary distro.

Try
Code:
apt-get --purge remove ubuntu-desktop
It's a *buntu standard that the master pkg. for the various desktops is "*buntu-desktop", where "*buntu" is:
  • ubuntu
  • kubuntu
  • xubuntu
  • possibly etc. -- the above are the ones I know about.
