Is there a way of "saving" the GNOME panels?

I want to play around with the GNOME panels, see what kinds of set-ups I can create, but I don't want to have to go through all the hassle of trying to put the GNOME panel to how it was when I get bored of messing around! Is there a way of saving the current state of the panels so that I can easily revert?

Cheers
