Is there a 64bit version of Ubuntu

I am using Mandrive on a 64 bit processor.

I fouund Ubuntu worked really well on my friends laptop the only distro that would actually work in fact.

I want to run a 64 bit version on my wireless laptop is there a version of Ubuntu 64bit. If there is where can I get it? Any problems with the wireless drivers on Ubuntu? (Ralink 2500 built in.)

Assuming you mean an AMD or Intel 64-bit processor, yes there is a 64-bit version of Ubuntu. Have you ever thought about the Ubuntu website? Here, let me do it for you...http://ubuntu-releases.cs.umn.edu/ed...ktop-amd64.iso

Thanks I'll give it a go on an amd64 before trying on my Turion amd 64laptop

I still have to get quite a few things sorted though as there is still so much missing.

all LAMP on initial and the resolution of the Apache 64bit version php problem

MTink

Konqueror and then libdvdcss

K3b not included on initial installation

otherwise I think it beats Mandriva now
