Is gcc part of Ubuntu warty(live cd) release
 

Hi,

I tried the ubuntu live cd (warty reelase) and found that gcc isn't there.

Are there any other C compilers available on this live cd release?

According to distrowatch.com, Ubuntu comes with gcc:

when you type "gcc --version", what do you get?

Thanks for replying.

I have the live cd of ubuntu not the installable one. I think the installable version does come with gcc and all other dev tools.

When I typed in "gcc ..." command it returned an error saying command not found.

As I know, gcc is not included in Ubuntu live cd..

Does the knoppix live cd contain gcc compiler?
