Internal Error-Failed to initialize Hal
The above error in a small box popped up when I booted with a cd rom in the drive. I read that has something to do with the error. I do this sometimes as I have had trouble mounting the cd drive. For some reason it just works when I boot with the cd in the drive whereas it doesn't most of the time when already booted. Sometimes I also will trick the system by using a factory made cd first and it will usually mount straight away but with a burnt cd no...but after mounting the factory made cd it will next allow me to mount a burnt one. Very off but that has what has been happening. I hope the drive is not on it's way out?
Someone also suggested after I did a google search to reinstall Hal. As the link was pretty old I thought I would ask if this is right.
