i just buy a new webcam Logictech quickcam Go and i just want to install it to my linux box "ubuntu 6.10" also i install camorama software. but went i run camorama an error say "could not connect to video0 /dev/video0 please check connection"
then i run lsusb

and i try to search to my /dev/video0 and there no file /dev/video0 in my /dev/ directory?
i try to create one and link it to /dev/sda1 but it didnt work
i try also to seach to google.... some say i must recompile my kernel and enable some module but went i try to run make menuconfig or make xconfig i directory /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.17-10 an error messages???
is there a simple way to install my webcam?
