Installing Ubuntu Netbook Remix?

I've noticed that theres a netbook version of Ubuntu called netbook remix. And looking at it the only way to install it is via a USB flash drive.

Is it possible to be copied onto a dvd/cd and install from there?

In theory...

-Download 'Mount ISO image 0.9.1' from this page: http://linux.softpedia.com/get/Deskt...age-2216.shtml (Installation instructions are at the bottom)

-Install.

-Download 'Ubuntu Netbook Remix' from here: http://www.ubuntu.com/GetUbuntu/download-netbook (It's a .img file)

-Convert the .img file to a .iso file with 'Mount ISO image 9.0.1'

-Burn to a CD

I haven't tried this, but I have installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix to an ASUS EEE without a hitch from a USB stick. Is there a particular reason you need to install from CD/DVD? The netbook I installed it on didn't have an optical drive, USB of one form or another was the only option, and it was simple.

It seems that the next version of Ubuntu, Karmic Koala, will have the netbook remix available in a live CD:
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-net...-live/current/
As it says on that page, you will also be able to install Karmic netbook remix from this live CD.
