I have no idea how, but I am one poor unlucky bastard. I am typing this on my psp right now, because I decided to try rebooting due to errors Iwas getting. Now I can no longer boot from the live cd. it gives me an i/o error on sda(the dead internal HD )
, and wont boot.

Will your computer boot without the cd. Try that.
Also try booting WITH the cd but WITHOUT the external drive.
Let me know.
I hope you can receive this.

You must be very curious about this problem, eh ?
Well anyways, I am NOT a poor unlucky bastard anymore. It seems Ubuntu managed to boot ( from the live CD, I still have not got it installed. ) I will try again soon. I am back on the live cd from the PSP.

Okay. That's good.
And indeed, I'm curious and also eager to know what the problem is.
I hope we can both solve it.
Here I can get it to work on an external drive.

Trying to solve problems, for others as well as for my self is one of the things I do.
I'm a beta tester for many a distro and program.
Not that I am "that" smart myself.
