Input Sound Driver Problems
Before anything else, may be important to note that I have the 10.04(?) version of Ubuntu. Last one before this latest update.
Anyway, the problem:
I've recently acquired a pair of Turtle Beaches, X11s, it's a headset typically used for gaming but compatible with computers.
I am able to get sound from the headphones however I'm having troubles with the microphone. I tried using it on Ventrilo but to no avail, then went over to Sound Recorder and I did not get anything. However when the Webcam is plugged in, the microphone on that is recognised.
I've been over to Sound Preferences and notice that within the Input tab, the webcam is the only device to choose, no headset.
Probably a easy problem to solve although I'm getting no where so if you could help, that'll be great.
