I want to boot Edubuntu from External Harddrive.


Hello Ladies & Gentelmen,

I have just installed EDUBUNTU on an external harddrive and I want to Boot it from there. I already have an 80 GB harddrive that is full on my main system and I'm Triple booting 3 Operating Systems from the grum menu, the OS SYSTEMS are Kubuntu,Windows XP, & Ubuntu. I'm Hoping 1 of you might know how to tell me how I can get Edubuntu to Boot from my External Harddrive since I have it already installed on it. I would appreciate any help anyone might give me.

GRUB can access SCSI disks just like the IDE disks. So install the distribution of ubuntu on the SCSI disk, then manually add the entry on the grub that is located on the harddisk. The new added entry


title edubuntu
root (hd1,<partition number>)
kernel ................
initrd ..................
