I can't think of how to phrase a search for this so bear with me (WiFi issues)

I have an issue I feel is rather odd. My card seems to run fine under ndiswrapper the problem is (with any card I use this is the second) the computer will connect but after a couple hours it disconnects and won't reconnect until I restart when it functions fine again for another couple hours. The signal strength is fine and there is always the option of trying connecting through command line and using wpasupplicant (if that is still the right tool) I haven't tried it but I was hoping someone else could give me a direction? (nothing interesting shows up in Dmesg if anyone was wondering)

Would help to know what wifi chipset you're using. lspci and dmidecode are good commands for getting that info.

Darn, i was hoping it was a Broadcom so I could go into my tirade on what a piece of !@#$ they are... oh well.

Realtek sounds like one there should be a native driver for (but I could be wrong). I only use ndiswrapper when absolutely necessary.
