I've installed many things from synaptic, but with no results

i've installed compiz, firestarter (firewall) and 3ddesktop, and some other things...

but nothing happens... the firestarter doesnt even appear in the applications menus (in the draker package was in applications/system tools)

what am i doing wrong?

i've upgraded to Edgy Eft

OK sorry... i found is in System/Administration...

but still can't find compiz and 3ddesktop

I have had a few apps that did not automatically show up in teh menu. I had to add them, manually. Try starting them from the command line first and make sure they are installed and configured properly/
