Exclamation howto set up a dual monitor

i've been trying to hook up 2 CRT monitors to my ubuntu system. all i get to is that both of the monitors display the same screen.. dosent share the screen like i want to (wide screen, 2 monitors combined to output one screen)

i am using a dell monitor and an samtron monitor, both old and CRT.

so can sumone guide me a way to achieve this. am trying on ubuntu 6.06.

and the xorg.conf file shows that one monitor is being detected, it satates its DELL, wonder about the samtron?

thanks in advance
