Hi All,
How can I setup a tv tuner card in ubuntu 9.10. Please help we with this. Thanx.
I've an older Hauppauge which uses the bttv driver. All I had to do was install TVtime. With your card in the system, do "lsmod |grep tv" and you see if the card is bttv or ivtv. TVtime works with bttv but you may need to go with MythTV for the ivtv card. There is no need to install drivers, only the application you want to use.
what does your dmesg command say ? type in your terminal dmesg and give the output here so we could help you. Maybe ubuntu doesn't recognize it and you have to select it from a list of available tv cards, or maybe you didn't installed the right firmware, or you lack some libraries from your Lib folder.
