I want to install Kubuntu on a machine that has two identical WD 160 GB S-ATA drives. I would like to basically create a RAID1 as I do in Debian Linux but the Kubuntu / Ubuntu installers seem to use a really nasty GUI for partitioning. Looks to be like QT/G-Parted and I can't find the options to select for "Software RAID".
/dev/sda
- dev/sda1 = 509 MB Swap Space
- dev/sda2 = 149.6 GB Software RAID (bootable)
/dev/sdb
- dev/sdb1 = 509 MB Swap Space
- dev/sdb2 = 149.6 GB Software RAID (bootable)
/dev/md0
- dev/md0 = 149.6 Software RAID - Ext3 mounted to / (bootable)
Above is what I create in Debian Linux using their installer and I can't figure out how to replicate something similar to this in Kubuntu. Can anyone please help me?
