This is a classic example of people asking for a solution based on how they think their problem should be solved and and not based on what their problem is. I believe I gave a perfectly good answer that one, solved the actual problem and two stood a good chance of being implemented in his primary environment which was stated as Ubuntu which installs with Gnome. Users can choose to mix environments. Synaptic for example allows you to install Konqueror with the bits and pieces of KDE it requires to run. People shouldn't get "pissy" about the answers provided to poorly asked questions. Accept the attempted help for its good intensions and go on.

I'm using the Ubuntu, GNOME but I also installed the Konqueror. I use it more often than Nautilus because it can be a web browser too. Sorry for making you confused, I'm just new to Linux anyway. Thank for all your helps, I really appreciate them.

Post #8 is the "correct" solution, by the way.

Well, some of us in the (K)ubuntu world use different things. I didnt like Kinquerer much so deleted it altogether, and use Opera as my browser. I installed Nautilis which yall know is a gnome app...
...so on that would "kdesu nautilus" work?

kdesu is just a GUI to the sudo app as is gksu, the one that gets installed just depends on if you installed ubuntu or kubuntu, but you can install and use both.
so yes "kdesu nautilus" would work.

To log in as root, go to System>Administration>Login Window.

Click on the Security tab and check the box that reads, "Allow local system administrator login."

Log out and then enter your root password and BAM...! You're in!

Be very careful.

Also, you can add an icon to run it from the panel and then change the properties so that it runs

gksudo konqueror

instead of just konqueror and it will ask you for the root password and run it as root.
It's actually kdesu in kde.
