How does one set the default applications in Xubuntu?

I have read that you go to System > Administration but I dont have that menu option. I have Settings > Settings Manager. But when I go there, there is no option for choosing the default applications for things like video and audio.
For example, when I click on a video file, a player called banshee opens but I dont want banshee, I would like parole or xine.

Thanks.

[s]Xfce Main Menu --> Settings --> Preferred Applications.[/s]

Ooops! Strike that.

What you want to do is RIGHT click on the item you want to open and choose "Open With Other Applicaton" from the context menu. Choose the app you want and make sure the box at the bottom "use as default for this kind of file" is checked.

Have fun!

Hmmm... now I'm stumped.

I have it in my Slack installation (4.6) and in my Arch installation (4.8). I'm not at all sure why this would be disabled in Xubuntu.
