I have got my touch screen on my tablet pc to work with ubuntu using tslib and ts_calibrate. However when I press on the screen the mouse doesn't move and I can't use it to close windows etc... How can I get it to?
My tablet is a Zenithink ZT-180 tablet with a TSC2007 touch screen.
Someone did successfully port Debian with a working touchscreen but wont tell me how, so i know it can be done.
The tablet has an Armv6 processor and is running Ubuntu 9.10
Distribution: Debian Testing, Stable, Sid and Manjaro, Mageia 3, LMDE

I know very little about touch screens so can't really help you there.
There has been some support for them since at least 8.04 in the kernel but how much is usable is questionable.
9.10 is no longer supported. A newer version may have better support for the touch screen. Can't blame you for sticking to 9.10, it was pretty nice (I liked 9.04 best).
Looks like there is some chatter about it and 10.04 is mentioned as working. This would make sense if the person using Debian (that you mention) is using Squeeze (10.04 is based on Squeeze).

Yeah thanks for that, I do know he was using deb squeeze. I may try it out if I can't get touch to work on this.
The real reason I stuck to 9.10 for this tablet is because it has an Arm6 processor and as far as I'm aware, Ubuntu dropped support after.
