How do I move files from one hard drive to another

OK, I have one hard drive that is filling up and I went and got another hard drive and installed it into the machine. How do I move files from the full hard drive to the almost empty hard drive. I only have about 400mb left on the full drive. Or should I move the Ubuntu 8.04LTS OS to the new drive? And how do I do that? Thanks for any suggestions. Gary

Short answer: drag and drop

If both drives are mounted you can drag and drop. If you open the drive it should be displayed in Nautilus. The left side panel of nautilus should show the second drive. Simply drag and drop to the icon.
