Hi i need to access a MS windows machine that runs teamviewer (www.teamviewer.com)and i am running ubuntu 8.04.
Is there any way to install teamviwer under ubuntu or any other program that can access the teamviwer at the MS windows machine.
I think teamviewer is used to access a Linux box from a windows machine. I have not installed teamviewer, but as far as i know, you have to copy the teamviewer file on both windows and linux machines and it should work. Check it out.
Ok, i figured out how teamviewer works. It is designed to work on windows. So, if you want to make it work on Ubuntu, you have install wine on Ubuntu and install this windows application. Hope this helps.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install wine
wine TeamViewer_Setup.exe
and most probably you are done and ready to launch TeamViewer but I'm not sure you may have problems running TeamViewer on ubuntu, I suggest you can try the older version of TeamViewer that may help you out !!!
I have tested running TeamViewer under Wine in Ubuntu GNU/Linux 9.10 and it's running like a charm... You can definitely use it.
The TeamViewer I used is very latest one; TeamViewer 5
TeamViewer 4 works perfectly for me
but TeamViewer 5 when i started all windows are the size of 16x16 and i had to maximize them and wait about 4-5 seconds for the images to receive
Well, it acts weird... It worked the first time when I tried and then it stopped :-O Not sure why... I will check it later. Sorry dude, couldn't help you there...
On which version of Ubuntu did you test Teamviewer?
