How do i enter text as background vertically in Openoffice 2.0 Ubuntu

Hi all,

I am using Openoffice 2.0 on Ubuntu 8.0 and i am trying to enter text in the left hand side of every page vertically, which can be read from the bottom to top and NOT from left to right, as a background. For example, i would like to enter the company's name in this manner instead of using the logo in every page.

How do i do this using openoffice word processor?

Hope its clear
Thanks

type something.

Format -> character
Look "position". Rotation or scaling.

You need to create a frame for your text, with the menu option Insert - Frame. Then, in the frame menu,
- anchor the frame to the page
- set the height to auto-size
- set the horizontal position to left
- set the width and vertical position as required

Then you can type your logo or whatever into the frame, using Format to rotate it.

I figured this out sometime back, sorry for not posting it immediately. I created a frame/text box, entered the text as usual, changed the size of the text box using the mouse and the text changed automatically.

Anyway, thanks for the information.
