hoary 5.04 and openoffice.org2

My Synaptic Package Manager in Hoary shows openoffice.org 1.1.3-8ubuntu2.3 is installed. Just under that it shows openoffice.org2 1.9.79.2-0ubuntu2 and it's not installed.

I'm curious if I simply install the openoffice.org2 with Synaptic Package Manager will it overwrite the older openoffice.org or should I unistall openoffice.org first.

I see the part about Package -> Force Version, but I'm not yet sure if that means 'smooth upgrade'. ;)

openoffice.org2 synaptic upgrade

If you've had experience with that I'd like to know how it went.
(I already know that many will advise to uninstall first, whether they have this experience or not.)

Also, I'm on dial-up, so anything I do as far as downloading large stuff has to be given a little extra thought here.

Thanks.

Don't know too much about ubuntu, but I do know that the default installation directoy for OpenOffice is under OpenOffice1.xx or 2.xx -- so a guess would be you'll have either both on the system or it will be smart enough to remove the 1st one 1st.
