Help setting up Remote desktop server 12.04 LTS
 

I'm trying to set up Remote server to access remote desktop from my mac os x lion.

I'm using Chicken of the VNC client on the mac. I'm just trying to connect on my local network now. The Ubuntu pc is 192.168.1.106. I have set Chicken on the VNC to connect to this ip address and display 0 and I get Authentication Failed. If I use display 1 I get Connection refused: connect() I think these are ports 5900 and 5901.

So I'm at a loss as to what to do next.

The remote desktop app had a option to turn on password and set a password. I turned that off and did away with the password and it worked ok. So it was a problem with the password.
