Help needed to create a common profile for all LTSP Clients.

Hello all,

I am running Ubuntu Studio - Latest version on a new AMD 64-bit machine.
I would like to create a common profile for all the LTSP clients. For example, i would like to configure internet proxy IP in the browser and system preferences, create shortcuts to applications etc.

I am aware that this can be done through Profile updater. But, I want make only the changes mentioned above, i don't want the themes or the desktop background to be enforced through the profile, i want to let the users have their own desktop background, themes etc.. But the standard shorcuts to apps, Internet Proxy, etc should be taken through the proxy.

How can i do this?
