HELP! MP-BIOS bug : 8254

Hello,

I'm using kubuntu 7.04 and today i tried to install 8.04 from a live CD.

But I got the same problem as when I tried to install 7.10.

But no I would like to find a solution!

The error: MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC.
I tried to boot with apic=debug but it said the same thing. Then I tried to boot with nolapic and it still said the same thing. noapic and it started a busybox??

Could some one help me fix this problem

I've got a Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00GHz
2x 512 MB mem

Perhaps try "noapic lapic" just to say you do have a LAPIC but not to use the APIC driver?

What messages appeared before the installer dropped you into busybox?

it gives the same error.

there is no error show before it starts the busybox
