I'm new to linux.currently I'm using ubuntu jaunty beta release..before this everything ok...but today when i try to update my distribution it came out some error like this:-

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

I already ready try to do manually by running those sudo command,

Please use useful thread titles in future. They should give a brief summary of your issue.

When you say you "don't know what to do next" what happens?? all it should do it request your password, and then sort itself out.
