Question Having Trouble With Synaptic Package Manager

Whenever I try to open it up this is what I get.

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.
E: _cache->open() failed, please report.

Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this?

Thanks!

Yes, from the command line run:

Code:
sudo dpkg --configure -a
It fixes the problem. It probably happens when your computer accidentally rebooted during an update.
