Hi guys I currently have a M30 Toshiba laptop with XP on the hda1 and ubuntu 6.10 on hda5, I've installed the grub bootloader to the MBR and when the computer reboots it simply stops at "grub" on the screen .. any idea why this is? I've tried a few distro's here and kubuntu 6.10 does it as well
I'm wondering if the bootloader is the new grub version and weather it is too big now to fit on the 1024kb MBR ..help would be greatly appreciated
Yes I have tried reinstalling grub from the live cd using chroot and it tells me it cannot read hda1, I'm not sure if I have to mount anything extra once i've chroot'd into the OS
