gparted question

Hello,

Have just loaded Ubuntu 6.10 on my old notebook.
Found that it almost uses all up the 5GB space
I allocated to this partition. The other
partition is running WinXP. I am thinking
of shrinking the WinXP partition with gparted
but am concerned that it cause booting up
problems to Ubuntu. Must I reinstall
Ubuntu once I shrink the WinXP partition?

Thanks in advance!

No, not as a result of just shrinking the XP partition. But if you then create new partition(s), that could cause your current partition(s) to change name.
Depends on how the space is currently allocated.

If needs be, menu.lst and (maybe) fstab could be corrected from a liveCD to save having to do a full re-install.
