I don't know what an internet custom-made OS is meant to mean, but the homepage doesn't even mention the word internet, but has myspace 5 times (out of not many words).
I am not kidding.
If one gives it a try (the installation is a breeze http://thinkgos.com/os-downloads/gos-space), it is evident that it is an Internet custom-made OS.
The way it is presented puts the "My Space tag" on it.
However, I am not sure if this is a good presentation strategy
gOS Space certainly is a new (revolutionary) concept of a free Internet OS
I'll actually havea look at it. I quite liked some aspects of evolution in elive, but didn't like the look they'd given it, so a fresh approach may be good.
it would help if the Gos people put some info on their download page as to what each version does. I finally worked out that one has extra myspace apps, I assume one is gnome based and the other is evolution based
Anyway, I'm downloading all but the gnome version to have a look at
I tried it when it was still in development... not my piece of pie. I never liked enlightment, they did a pretty good job with it, but still.
Anyway, it's still ubuntu. Another window manager, and a couple of hyperlinks on the desktop won't make a night and day difference.
Well, I can't get their enlightenment LiveCD to boot for some reason (I've burnt it twice, once with cdrecord and once with nero from windows, and the md5sum checked out), so I guess I'll give it a miss for now. Don't havea blamk dvd on hand for the "space" version.
