good hardware and software inventory on Linux machine

Hello
I am running Ubuntu 17.04. I am looking for a program like aida64 that inventories all of the hardware and or software on my computer. Is there any program that anyone can recommend that would run natively in Ubuntu.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You can use dpkg to list all installed packages. If you want to store the list, you can pipe it to a file. Learn more at the Debian wiki: https://wiki.debian.org/ListInstalledPackages

Hardinfo is an excellent GUI program for listing hardware and can generate reports: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HardInfo

There's also lshw, but only works in the CLI.

Hi...

Not sure if you were aware of it but there is a "Linux Extension for AIDA64" here that might be helpful. You can find other alternatives here. :)
