gnoppix 1.0.1 not installable
Hi,
I post for installation of gnoppix-1.0.1 (I know this is the ubuntu forum , but gnoppix is in fact ubuntu) which is normally installable ?
but not , at least at the boot time?
Are the developpers really serious when they post the announcement ??
I want to send the message to the developpers, but I need to subscribe and ....., I am registered in so many list?
I ve downloaded the gnoppix 1.0, I ve realised that it was not installable, so I download ( 3 days after , I ve read that the new one 1.0.1 is installable) , but the installer failed.
My question now, since I must be installable, can I install it from the live CD, I mean I run it
and somewhere there is an installer, like koppix-installer
thank you fr help
best regards
bela

Why don't you download the Ubuntu installer? It's about the same size.

Yes,
but gnoppix 1.0.1 is more recent, based on gnome2.10,
then I am not sure that , there is installer for ubuntu, there is an install-CD which contains the whole distribution.
Even if it is probably not adequate.
any way, is there in the gnoppix 1.0.1, an installer
thanks for reply
Best regards
bela

I'm sorry, I don't know if there's an installer. I've only briefly looked at gnoppix with a friend, because I wanted to show it off to him. By the way, if you want it to be fully updated, all you have to do is to go to a terminal and type
Code:
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
This will update your whole computer.
