Gnome application theme problems
I just installed 6.10 after having used Mandrake/Mandriva for years. Ubuntu is great so far.
One big problem, though, is that my Gnome 2.16 application themes don't seem to be applying correctly. I created a theme that I've been using in Mandrake/Mandriva for a couple years, and it worked quite well under Mandriva 2007's Gnome 2.16, but when I try to apply it in Ubuntu, the application part of it seems not to work at all. I've also tried some of the theme engines at Gnome-look.org, and I have the same problem: the previews there show a nice OS X-style aqua gel-style scroll bar, but I only get a flat grey one..
My guess is that this is something to do with pixmaps or something that is present in Mandriva 2007 but missing from the default Ubuntu install. I can't figure out how to solve the problem, though.
Please help. Thanks.
