Getting w32codecs

I'm having a hard time getting the w32codecs. I have breezy updated with current repositories and when I sudo apt-get install w32codecs, I get this error message:

sudo apt-get install w32codecs
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Package w32codecs is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package w32codecs has no installation candidate

What is missing? mplayer is installed. I've been following the Unofficial guide for 5.04. Shouldn't it still work for breezy?

Thnx.

I used yum to solve my problem, but I use xine player since mplayer wouldnt run for some reason. also as I recall, the w32codecs are found in a package on the mplayer webpage called "essentials" or somthing like that

I've added deb ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-marillat/ sid main to my source list but keep getting message about not finding the gpg keys for it.

It didn't work for me, that's what I was going by. I did, however, find some new sources to add to my list and now everything is working.

Thnx for the replies.
