ftp installation feature?


Does Ubuntu has the features of ftp installation like Fedora Core and CentOS have?

I want to know because i need to use windows ris to boot up the ftp connection.

You have to download the FTP packages through synaptics. It is not installed by default on the CD.

Just look for proftpd and gproftpd in Synaptic or type in a terminal: sudo apt-get install proftpd gproftpd

Thank you for answering me, but unfortunately, I am actually not asking the ftp server.

I am asking how do you use ftp server to install the ubuntu OS. It is like Windows RIS.

I found the answer:
I actually successfully installed the ubuntu disklessly with ftp server. I found the method to put the linux bootloader in the windows ris
