fsck or equivalent for my encrypted home directory

I'm running Kubuntu Lucid, and I recently had a bit of disk corruption (probably due to unclean shutdowns) and had to do an xfs_repair and then reinstall the kernel and bootloader (by chrooting from a livecd). The xfs_repair popped up some errors relating to my encrypted home directory.

Is it possible that even with the underlying filesystem fixed there could still be corruption of the encrypted files? If so, is there an fsck or equivalent program for checking the integrity of those files?

The standard *Ubuntu home directory encryption, that the option for is given in the installer. I'm not sure what encryption it uses.
