Flash Installation

Is there any package I can install via apt-get to get my videos in webpages to work?

The only way I got it working was to enable "proposed updates" in synaptic package manager and install the flash version from there (you can unselect all other updates if you wish) and then turn proposed back off (unless of course you want to use them).

When i follow the instructions on that website, it tells me it successfully installed but when I check the terminal it says "md5sum mismatch install_flash_player-9-linux, Flash Player NOT installed.

When Download flash manually and put my mozilla directory it tells me to put in the correct directory. (The directory is actually the example it gives when installing.)

I had a similar problem and whenever I entered the directory for firefox it told me invalid directory. I fixed it by not sudoing for the manual install. This installs it in your home directory in the .mozilla directory or something. Then you have to log out and log back in for it to take effect

Thanks Tamoneya. I got Firefox to work. Now I need to get Opera to work. You or anyone have any ideas on that?

Sorted! Installed Opera 9.5 Beta and it worked with Flash right out of the box! Well... Kinda.

After installing download Flash Player if you haven't done that already. Untar and cd to the file.

Then:
Code:
sudo cp libflashplayer.so /usr/lib/opera/plugins
After doing this I was all sorted!
