Fix grub boot loader after installing windows xp

Hey! I have just installed wxp after installing linux on my laptop. As u can understand windows xp just remove my linux boot loader and i need an easy way restoring it back.

I have used mylive ubuntu cd and tried to fix grub using a terminal screen! My linux partition is the /dev/sda2 but the grub didnt recognize the commant root (sda,2)
Any suggestions plz?
