firebird server under wine and java client in ubuntu 8 10
 

I have ubuntu 8.10 installed. I have installed wine on ubuntu machine and my firebird 2.0 server was installed using wine. I start firebird db server using wine but I code in eclipse in java. So the scenario is --

eclipse runs in ubuntu and db server in virtual windows via wine.

I have used jaybird-full-2.1.5.jar. When I try to connect , I get sometimes

cannnot complete network request to "localhost" error -
and sometimes

connection rejected by remote interface error.
The same connection string code had worked in windows.
