Execute script automatically on mount

Hi all.
I've a little question.
There is a way to execute automatically a script (or a command or, else, to start an application) when I plug in my USB key?
I would execute a backup script every time I insert my key.
Tanks in advance

If you're running Ubuntu, check out the Removable Drives & Media Preferences. Settings are quite as flexible for removable storage as for media with an identifiable purpose but you can do more than what was configured by default.
