Question /etc/inetd.conf

i use ubuntu 8.04, but there is no /etc/inetd.conf file , as far as my understanding goes if inetd is the internet daemon there should be /etc/inetd.conf file isn't it ..??? or is there any other equivalent file
in hardy heron which does the same purpose as /etc/inetd.conf ?

Is inetd or xinetd installed? With xinetd the file would probably be /etc/xinetd.conf
Whats your problem?
