Error when dual booting Win XP
First, I set up a dual boot system with Win XP and Ubuntu. Win XP primary partition, Linux logical partition, swap partition.
Ubuntu loads up fine using GRUB as the boot loader. When I try loading up Win XP, I select it from the boot menu and it begins to load up. It shows the loading screen, then after that it shows that blue XP screen that comes on usually when running scandisk after a faulty shutdown, says something I can't really read (happens FAST), and restarts the computer taking me back to the boot loader.
Is there any way to get past that and start booting XP normally? There are a few files in there (mostly images, nothing overly important) which I need backed up and didn't bother to do so since I didn't think I'd have this problem. I've done this before no sweat (with SuSE and BeOS) but suddenly I get this odd occurrence.
Any help is appreciated.
