Error 21 only when turning on the computer


I installed ubuntu in my external usb hdd.When I turn on my computer I get this error.If I press alt+ctrl+del after this error the system reboots and I get the loader without an error this time.Any ideas why is this happening?Thnx!

21 : Selected disk does not exist
This error is returned if the device part of a device- or full
file name refers to a disk or BIOS device that is not present or
not recognized by the BIOS in the system.

That's what the error means. Apparently the hardware detection hasn't progressed far enough for grub to find a bootable OS on the external USB drive, but after ctrl+alt+del, it has been detected.

You might want to check your BIOS to see if there is anything there to setup.

thnx for answering.I have an acer Aspire 9412AWSMi laptop.Do u believe that I can change something in the bios to fix that and what it is?
