Encoding video that XP will play.

I have my Linux system running top notch, and have recorded beryl, and vmware running XP to show off to my family, and friends. I used kino to encode it to mpeg1(default), and Xvid 4. Problem is nobody on XP can see it. I can't ask my mother 200 miles away to download the Xvid codec. She won't do it. What is a codec that will show in XP by default, and what is the CL for mencoder to do it. Thanks for any help you can give me in advance.

This is a small sample of what i am trying to do, but it needs to play in a default XP setup.

MPEG1 will play in Windows without having to download a codec. Alternatively, upload your video to YouTube and/or Google Video, and they will convert it to a Flash for you.
