emacs broke after update

Running Feisty on AMD64, fully up to date. After adept update, emacs is broken.

Any advice on how to fix this? Or fix GTK? Or roll back emacs? Thanks.

Are you running Kubuntu? It looks like you might be able to work around the problem by changing your GTK theme in K -> System Settings -> Appearance -> GTK Styles and Fonts. Or try reinstalling the gtk2-engines-qtpixmap package.

Perhaps not so much a broken emacs as a missing library?

A quick fix would be to use emacsNN-x (eg. emacs22-x) instead of emacsNN-gtk. I would say that this looks like a problem with the gtk2-qt library.

look in the /etc/alternatives and see what emacs points at. To just get up and running, I recommend making a ln -s `which emacs22-x` emacs (in the case of emacs 22)
