Edgy - No Audo Jack Sense - Pavillion dv2125 NVIDIA - NEED THIS
 

Hi Guys,


After googling a lot, came here almost driving myself crazy.

My System:

Notebook HP dv2125nr
AMD Turion 64 Mobile Tech.
......
00:10.1 Audio device: nVidia Corporation MCP51 High Definition Audio (rev a2)
....

Problem:

No audio jack sound.
No turning off the laptop speakers when a plug headphones in the jack.
No option in the control volume related to jack or whatever that looks like that.
NOTHING.

OS:

Ubuntu Edgy. (up do date)

So.. have no idea where is the problem, have done, read y googled a lot..
Any of u have had this issue and besides solved it. ?

P.s.: Most of the threads deal with Intel Sound Alsa Driver.

A little old, but it looks like the dv2000 series can be added to the AMD/Nvidia MCP chipset list. :) You can see my post here on what you can expect with different versions of alsa. Results may vary given your Distro/Hardware, but they all look pretty similar:
