Easy Ubuntu and Ubuntu Software updates not connecting to repository
could not download all repository indexes
The repository might be no longer available or could not be contacted because of network problems. If available an older version of the failed index will be used. Otherwise the repository will be ignored. Check your network connection and the correct writing of the repository address in the preferences. This is where it was trying to get them from: *packages.freecontrib.org/ubuntu/plf/dists/dapper/Release.gpg:.... Could not connect to packages.freecontrib.org:80 (213.251.190.135). - connect (111 Connection refused) This is the first time I've had this error, I run on broadband 512kbps connection from roadrunner and the modem lights are all go. I even tried restarting, but still to no avail. Can anyone tell me what the hell is going on? *---http there but I can't post links cuz of the 3 post protection. |
That repository is down, jhas been for a while. I'd use automatix insted, it has all the packages easy ubuntu has and it's updated more often. (So you won't get that error again.)
