Sure do. If your using KDE install Bibletime, if your using Gnome install Xiphos. They are both Sword compatible using Sword modules.
I do not wish to be rude but I do not know if you were being unChristian or if the comment is posted from the lack of knowledge but your answer is a no brainer and those are not a solution or a work around to get the desired program to work. I have both of those installed since Wine dropped the ball in 1.1 and they are not as good, even together.
Distribution: Debian Wheezy, Jessie, Sid/Experimental, playing with LFS.

Why is it that "christians" always resort to this? Your reply is rude and unchristian, you judged someone you don't know when they tried to offer help. A simple I have tried them was enough don't you think? I'm either unChristian or ignorant, WINE devs dropped the ball, and the BibleTime and Xiphos products are not as good together as the Windows one on its own. Wow everyone else is at fault. Aren't you on a big pedestal! Anywhooooooooo having said that, I really don't care so I hope someone else can answer your question better than I can.
Now to a little bit of FOSS preaching. I don't need to use WINE to run a Windows program. While I admire the WINE devs for their efforts I think the product they have developed isn't right for my purpose. Not only that I also believe that choice is vital. You may notice that groups like SIL are developing both Linux and Windows versions of their applications (the fieldwork suite of applications is brilliant I know because I test the Linux versions). So, instead of being overly critical of people who offer help to you why don't you offer YOUR help to them. Groups like the Xiphos and BibleTime devs could do with YOUR help to get their free products to the level you think they should be at? That way people who want choice but cannot afford, or like me do not want, to run Windows can have an application that is up to your obviously extremely high standards.
Have an excellent day
P.S. What's with the Common Era sig? Who's drum do you march to?
