DVD Writer (Matshita) does not support multisession burning

Help. I am getting the following message when I try to start a multisession DVD burn.
Quote:
Your writer (MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-850S) does not support Incremental Streaming with DVD RW media. Multisession will not be possible. Continue anyway?
Is there a work around for this or it is just not possible to burn multisession DVD on this writer.

System details -
Acer Aspire 5100 laptop - AMD Turion 64-bit processor, 512 MB RAM, 120 GB hard disk, running Ubuntu 7.04 (Fiesty Fawn)

Have you tried other writting modes in the burn menu? Otherwise check manufacturer documentation/homepage.
